Outdoor Family Challenges

Bob Burk

Bob Burk Bob Burk has loved the outdoors since his childhood and days as a scout. He is an Eagle Scout, and was Wood Badge trained and a Scoutmaster for several years. He has an infectious love for the outdoors and for sharing that joy with others.

After going through years of personal therapy and then a "Wild at Heart" weekend and the followup Platoon Leaders Training, Bob came away seeing the holes in the relationships in his life and was convinced that he had to get men, their wives and their children relating to each other instead of accepting the crumbs off the table as he had.

He feels that the outdoors is the perfect place to get people away from daily distractions and into a place where the can meet and relate to God and each other, having fund, yet experiencing significant personal growth through the investment into those relationships.

In addition to a passions for the outdoors, Bob loves to fly fish, hike, climb, elk hunt, snowboard, shoot his longbow, and take trips with his pack goats. He is also part of the Men's Ministry Team at First Presbyterian in Montrose, Colorado where he makes his home with his wife of 28 years, Beth.
